Frequently asked questions

How do I go through the electronic toll payment lane?

No-stopping electronic toll payment lane: Get into a “Reserved T” lane, making sure you respect the speed limit of 30 km/h. Your pass will beep, the traffic light will turn green and the barrier will be raised automatically.

Electronic toll payment lane with stopping: Get into a lane marked with an orange “t” or an orange “t” and a green arrow pointing down, then drive forward slowly until you reach the barrier. Your pass will beep, the traffic light will turn green and the barrier will be raised automatically.

On which motorways does my badge work?

The Bip&Go Liber-t badge works on all French motorway networks.

The badge also works in almost 450 car parks (Effia, Urbis, Autocité, Indigo, Seames, etc.) and in the car park at Lyon Saint Exupéry Airport and the PEF car park at Paris Roissy Charles de Gaulle 2 Airport.

The Bip&Go badge also works on the Millau Viaduct, the Île de Ré Bridge, the Normandie Bridge and the Tancarville Bridge, as well as the Maurice Lemaire, Puymorens and Prado Carénage tunnels, but does not work in the Mont-Blanc or Fréjus tunnels.

Since 9 June 2016, new badges have worked in Spain, and in Portugal and Italy since 11 July 2019. Find out more about how the badge works abroad.

Can I use my badge in a car park?

As well as working across the French motorway network, the Liber-t Bip&Go badge works in more almost 450 car parks all over France, both in the city and at some airports such as Roissy Charles de Gaulle, Orly or even Lyon Saint-Exupéry. The Bip&Go badge works in all car parks that are equipped with an electronic toll payment system and indicated by an orange “t” symbol.

How do I position my electronic toll payment badge in my vehicle?

Installing the Bip&Go badge is quick and easy. We recommend attaching your badge to the windscreen of your vehicle to the right of the rear-view mirror so that it can be easily detected. If your vehicle has a windscreen with an area with black dots, which is the non heat-resistant area, the badge must be in this area to be detected. For optimum use of your electronic toll payment badge, it must be fixed to the windscreen. Trying to adjust the badge while driving may mean that the badge is not detected, which could cause a billing error.
