Frequently asked questions

How do I use the electronic toll payment lane?

Non-stop electronic toll payment lane: Move into a “Reservée t” lane at a maximum speed of 30 km/h. Your badge will beep, the light will turn green and the barrier will rise automatically.

Electronic toll payment lane with stop at barrier: Move into a lane marked with an orange “t” or an orange “t” and a “green arrow pointing downwards”, and proceed slowly until you reach the barrier. Your badge will beep, the light will turn green and the barrier will rise automatically.

On which motorways can I use my badge?

The Liber-t Bip&Go badge works on all French motorway networks.

The badge also works in nearly 1,300 car parks (Effia, Urbis, Autocité, Indigo, Seames, etc.), as well as in the Lyon Saint Exupéry airport car park and the PEF car park at Paris Roissy Charles de Gaulle 2 airport.

The Bip&Go badge also works on the Millau viaduct, the Ile de Ré bridge, the Normandy and Tancarville bridges, and the Maurice Lemaire, Puymorens and Prado Carénage tunnels, but does not work in the Mont-Blanc and Fréjus tunnels.

The new badges have been in use in Spain since 9 June 2016, and in Portugal and Italy since 11 July 2019. Find out more about how the badge works abroad.

Can I use my badge in a car park?

As well as working on all French motorway networks, the Liber-t Bip&Go badge works in almost 1,300 car parks in France, in towns and cities and in certain airports such as Roissy Charles de Gaulle, Orly and Lyon Saint-Exupéry. The Bip&Go badge works in all car parks with an electronic toll payment system, which are indicated by the orange "t" symbol.

How do I fit my electronic toll badge in my vehicle?

It is quick and easy to fit the Bip&Go badge.
We recommend that you fix your badge to the windscreen of your vehicle to the right of the central rear-view mirror so that it is correctly detected.
If your vehicle has a windscreen with a black dotted area, which is not athermic, the badge must be positioned there to be detected. For optimum use of your electronic toll payment badge, it must be fitted to the windscreen. Any tampering with the badge during the journey may result in it being detected incorrectly, which could lead to a billing anomaly.
